At TW, we’re thrilled to celebrate a remarkable milestone, the sale of one of our Christie’s-exhibited artworks to an incredible female collector whose story deeply moved us. This piece, once showcased at the world-renowned Christie’s London, now graces the home of a woman whose journey and taste mirror the very soul of the artwork itself.

To have exhibited at Christie’s is every artist’s dream. It’s a symbol of legacy, value, and timeless creativity. To then see that same artwork go on to live with a collector who connects with its story on a personal level is a moment of true alignment: where art, emotion, and purpose meet.

Before the purchase, our collector shared a beautiful vision for her home, she wanted an artwork that reflected her journey as a mother and woman, and something that symbolised her relationship with her daughter. When she saw our painting, she instantly knew it was the one. The colours reminded her of their shared memories, the warmth of home, and the joy of love passed down through generations. It complemented her interior perfectly, but beyond décor, it spoke directly to her heart.

Moments like this remind us of the power of women collectors in today’s art world. Across Europe, the Middle East, and the U.S., female art collectors are shaping the modern art market, investing in artists whose work carries emotional truth, authenticity, and vision. They are not just buying art — they are curating culture, creating generational stories, and influencing the direction of global creativity.

Data & Insights

  • According to the latest report by Art Basel & UBS, in 2024 high-net-worth individuals’ collections included a 44 % share of works by female artists: the highest level in seven years (up from 33 % in 2018).

  • Women collectors are out-spending men on art: The same survey found that women’s median expenditure on art in 2023 was USD 72,500, higher than the median for men.

  • Globally, approximately 29 % of private art collectors are women.

  • The global art market was valued at approximately USD 552 billion in 2024 and projected to reach around USD 944 billion by 2033.

These statistics show that women are not only participating in art collecting,

they are increasingly driving it. For auction houses, galleries and the art-investment sphere, the implications are enormous: women are shaping taste, influencing value trajectories, and redefining what meaningful, collectible art means.

At TW, we are honoured to see our work celebrated by such visionary women. The art world is evolving, and the rise of female collectors represents one of the most exciting cultural movements of our time. Their taste for meaningful, valuable art has transformed the global art scene,  blending aesthetics with personal storytelling, heritage, and purpose.

The synergy between Christie’s-level prestige and the modern female collector shows where the future of art is heading: towards connection, intention, and legacy. Meaningful art is more than beauty, it is memory, identity, and emotional resonance made tangible.

As we continue to expand globally, we celebrate this milestone as a reflection of our mission, to create art that speaks, to inspire collectors, and to remind the world of the incredible influence of women who collect with both vision and heart.

Here’s to the collectors shaping the future, to the women who see beyond the canvas, and to the timeless power of meaningful art.
