Toyosi Olowe’s Take:
There’s something electric about walking into Art Dubai’s VIP opening on April 17th 2025 —the feeling that you’ve entered a living, breathing conversation between the past, present, and future of global art. As an artist, founder, and creative entrepreneur deeply invested in cross-cultural storytelling, attending this year felt like stepping into the very pulse of contemporary expression.

What struck me most was how the landscape is shifting. Abstract works were dominant—but not in a disconnected, overly conceptual way. These were pieces steeped in soul, memory, and cultural nuance. You could feel the personal battles, the healing, the ancestral whispers embedded in the brushstrokes. And notably, many of these works were created by younger, female exhibitors—women who are not just participating but leading the charge in redefining modern art on their terms.
This evolution isn’t just aesthetic—it’s systemic. Art Dubai is successfully positioning itself as a launchpad for global creativity, where the Middle East isn’t just a participant in the art world, but a cultural epicentre. There was a refreshing openness—gallery owners keen to explore emerging talent, collectors interested in narrative-rich art, and creatives actively seeking collaborative partnerships. It reminded me of why I built TW in the first place: to merge emotion with intention, luxury with accessibility, and culture with commerce.
As I moved between booths filled with everything from conceptual sculpture to AI-generated installations, I was also finalising something deeply personal—my latest Limited Collector’s Edition Series, now available exclusively on Luminara.
Each artwork in this series has just 10 signed prints per design, with proof of certification as a a collector across 2 carefully curated editions, designed for both seasoned collectors and those new to the art world. These aren’t just prints—they’re entry points into global dialogue, collector-grade pieces that are meant to hold their value and their voice.

My hope with this release is to bridge gaps: between tradition and innovation, between emerging collectors and high-end buyers, between cultural memory and modern storytelling.
Art Dubai affirmed that the future of collecting is experiential, emotional, and intentional. People are not just buying to fill a space—they’re buying stories, impact, and identity. The demand for art that represents something deeper is louder than ever.
And I’m honoured to be a voice in that movement.
