Life will always hand to us seeds. Some we seeds of joy that we are always happy with, some seeds of sadness that we want to do away with and seeds that we feel are not necessary for living. However, its not about the seeds but what we do with them; when planted, they go through a process of rebirth and become trees that have fruits. This process is not sudden and takes time so many run away from this necessary birth process, they would gladly treat their lives as fruits that should be consumed now and forgotten tomorrow, so they think of now and what is temporal. 

Our lives are like seeds and when treated as such and we allow ourselves to go through the necessary process of death (self denial), change and rebirth. We become useful not only to ourselves but to generations after us.
